BOBTV is the acronym for Best of the Best African Film and TV Programmes Market, an annual event that holds in Abuja, Nigeria.

BOBTV is held in collaboration with the Nigerian Government through the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation and the Federal Capital Territory.

BOBTV 2008 is the Fifth edition of the Best of the Best Film expo which will hold between March 9th – 13th 2008 at the Ladi Kwali convention centre, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.

The theme for the 5 days of bumper and business filled content convention is “Greater Heights for African Cinema.” The unprecedented growth of the audio-visual industry in Africa especially in Nigeria through the Nollywood phenomenon has given Africa a new face hence the need to fine tune the usage of this powerful socio- cultural medium for positive communication.

Mindful of this for a solid foundation for further growth, BOBTV 2008 is structured to provide a multi- faceted platform for exhibition and market screening, capacity building, business networking, workshops and seminars.

Each year, BOBTV welcomes over 10,000 participants and visitors from Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world to its exhibitions and master classes. It also witnesses the participation of about 100 TV stations and radio stations, over 300 content makers and programmes developers, ancillary industries and top government and industry personalities.
